Kevin Dedmon: Walking on water like Jesus? It´s possible!

Kevin Dedmon, director of Firestorm ministry in Bill Johnson´s Bethel Church describes how some guys of his Son´s youth group tried to walk on water like Jesus - according to Joh 14,12:
"Truly, truly I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even greater works than these because I am going to the Father."

... so it´s possible for the one who believes:

Bible verses (from the ISV):

Mt 14:25 .... he came to them, walking on the sea.

Mk 6:49 .... they saw him walking on the sea...

Joh 14:12 Truly, truly I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even greater works than these because I am going to the Father

Seriously? These guys are such obvious hucksters. Moreover, if someone had walked on water with 80 (or however many he claimed) witnesses it would have been on the news. It's always the same with these types: there's never any proof. This is a diversion from God, not evidence of God.

Run away!

Want to be like Jesus?
Feed the hungry. Clothe the naked. Shelter the homeless. Stop this signs and wonders bull shit. Stop. Even if you could walk on water, which you cannot, who would it help? No one. It's not Christian. It's selfish. It's dangerous. And it needs to stop.

Oh my goodness, you are so right. Seeking after signs and wonders that have no eternal significance is pointless. If we want to be Jesus followers, changed lives are what matters.
